The “Crazy Korean” company fermented in the back of our minds, like a good batch of kimchi, for a good few years. In July 2017 it was finally the right time to share it with the good people of Durban.
KJ Lee arrived in South Africa in 2005, dragged by his Durban born wife Natasha Lee and their two gorgeous sons, after they had lived in Korea for several years. They had both been dying to introduce Korean food and culture to South Africans for many years and are so excited to finally be able to do so in 2017.
“Crazy Korean aims to introduce Korean food and culture to the Southern African Continent in a fun and creative way and to be the number one supplier of Korean food in the region”
Fast forward….. very excitedly after 6 months of selling our food at markets and events, we opened our Crazy Korean Restaurant and Guesthouse in GlenAshley. Then after two and a half years, due to the devastating effects of Covid19, it was time to move.
We opened our first Takeaway shop in the heart of Durban North, 5-7 Swapo Road, and are sooooo grateful for all the support of our regulars and new customers!
Our latest news is that have opened a second branch in the leafy suburb of Kloof, 2 Village Road – please pop in, invite your friends and come and taste our delicious Korean dishes and awesome Ready to Cook meals to cook at home.
